Making a Difference

Dry Tortugas National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

Renovations in a historical park is no easy task, but with the crew from Advanced Building Concepts, LLC....mission accomplished.

Whether by land or by sea, we can get your panels to your project.

Loading dock at the Dry Tortugas.

Looking down the lonely passages, there were no doors and no privacy to provide the visitors and groundskeepers with.

Steel framing has been placed before the SIP roof panels to allow this historical site another 100 years of history.

There were a total of five living quarters that needed immediate construction.

After the SIPs have been installed, there are now rooms within this building.

Mission accomplished!

Partial interior view of completed housing

This project has been dedicated to the memory of Ted Stepanek. Ted was the AutoCAD designer for ICS-FL and worked very hard with the design of the three buildings known as the housing units.  Ted never visited the site and worked entirely from drawings and the dimensions provided, some of which were 150 years old.  In spite of the challenges, these buildings “fit” and there were very few modifications, other than those dictated by changes provided to ICS-FL postproduction.  Ted succumbed to cancer early in 2008 but was able to see the project through almost to the end.  Rest in peace, Ted.

You are missed at ICS.
